Djibouti is building a state of the art medical center and lab in Balala, the heart of where the majority of population resides. The lab will model the United States NAMRU3 in Cairo, Egypt, where Djibouti currently sends their H1N1 specimens. The medical center has taken some of its design from the Walter Reed National Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, where the Minister of Health recently met with the Navy Surgeon General. It will interesting to see the dedication from what we see now.
