Tonight we went to the Horn of Africa School in Djibouti for our English Discussion Group. Tonights discussions centered on: (1) At what age should you date?, (2) Who is more important to the family, the male or the female?, and (3) What do you think of Hilary Clinton's visit to Africa? The Djiboutian students really took dating seriously. Most not dating much and when they dated, the earliest was 15 and most 17 and older. I asked what they did on a date and they said, go to the beach or go to a restaurant. A few students really wanted to talk about Ms. Clinton's visit. They really paid close attention to what she said and how the discussions were going. One student, named "Said", pictured with me in the blue "Cool" shirt, moved to Djibouti from Somalia in 2007 and spoke and wrote English exceptionally well. He had an exceptional personality and good sense of humor.
