Participated in the English Discussion Group at the Alpha Radiation School of English in Djibouti. Tonight's discussion centered on two questions: (1) Who has more responsibility in the family: man or woman?; and, (2) What can Djibouti do to lower unemployment? The Alpha school is located in the center of a large village on the outskirts of Djibouti City. It's interesting going to the schools, because you go into the heart of the village and see how the people really live, with their small corner markets and restaurants. And yes, they do have cyber cafe's in Djibouti for the students to use. As our van pulls up, hundreds of children are running around. Lamps are lit on small stands. Women are finishing their meals which are served later during Ramadan. We always get a warm welcome when we arrive.
