Tonight's discussion at the English Discussion Group centered on several questions, (1) Did Obama deserve the Nobel Peace Prize and (2) what do you do when your husband (boyfriend)/wife (girlfriend) cheat on you? Interestingly, many of the young people praised former President George Bush for helping Africa, especially with the prevention of Aids. They say they like President Obama because he has roots in Africa and because of hope that he brings even though he hasn't done as much as President Bush did. On the subject of cheating, the concept really did not revolve around sex as it did other areas. The young people are very deep thinkers at the English Discussion Group and extremely bright. The younger kids in these pictures actually do not participate in the EDG. They go to other classes in the school. Our EDG goes from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and another class follows right behind us at 8:30 p.m.
